Today we were at the grocery store when Eliza spotted "Belle" and was calling out for her. I turned to see that Belle was in fact, on a can of Campbell's soup. Well played, Campbell's! Eliza had no idea what was inside the can (though I did read it to her) but she really wanted it because of Belle. She carried it through the entire store, put it on the conveyor belt, was handed it back off the conveyor belt instead of being bagged, and she carried it out of the store. She then carried it into Trader Joe's and we showed it to all of our friends there.
When we got home, Eliza ran to put it in a lunchbox. By this time it had lost it's label but was no less favored.
Luckily it was right at lunch time when we arrived home and before long we had opened the can and Eliza had dumped the goodness in the pot and was watching it heat up.
Then she sat down to a warm bowl of soup...
and enjoyed every drop!
I think we will be looking for more Belle soups in the coming days.
