Coming Home

By mid-morning of January 6th it was time to stop taking selfie style pictures...
and get ready to go home.
All of the tests on Eliza went well and she had maintained a good weight (only down to 7lbs. 9oz.) so she was granted release to a very large and strange place... a car seat.
These pictures were taken once we were in the car because Eliza was not thrilled on the ride out of the hospital and by now she is calm and happy.
Upon arrival home, big brother excitedly met us out at the car...
to get a peek...
at his teeny baby sister.
It was a couple of hours later when big sister came on the scene.
It didn't take any time though for Eliza's biggest fans to change clothes so they could snuggle her.

Immediately after, they were happy to open their Christmas gifts for Eliza that had been waiting in the living room until she was born and home!

At the end of the evening, I took a few pictures of sweet Eliza in her first dress that Daddy had picked out for her.
She is so smart she even smiled for her pictures...
and eventually stretched out a little so we could get a good look at her teeny tiny skinny legs.
Welcome home, baby girl.

  1. Of course she smiled for her pictures - she is your child! ;) She is just so sweet. Joey really enjoys her pictures too. Xo
